First off, I had some issues with the pacing especially during the first half. The first half kind of lagged a little bit. The second half though was much tighter plot-wise and character-wise. I’d take whatever scraps you were willing to give me as long as I could be with you. I don’t give a shit if that makes me pathetic” But when I hit 70% Sabrina the heroine did finally get on my nerves. She's honestly the main reason why this book didn't make it to my 4-5 Stars list. I always have a big issue with characters that annoy me, most especially heroines who can't seem to make up their minds and have the tendency to hurt the people who love them so much. Sabrina falls into this category.lets just all agree that this was shit. why the hell is grace still annoying?? gosh if i have to hear her complain one more time i will bang my head in In the kitchen, Nana is sitting at the table, smoking a cigarette and reading an issue of People. “Did you see this?” she exclaims. “Kim K is nude again.” I love Jake Connelly so freaking much but him scoring more than Garrett is completely unbelievable, sorry my boy! We saw Dean’s intense reaction to the first in The Score, but got a second look at the aftermath from a new perspective in The Goal. I nearly cried reading Sabrina’s interactions with the beloved periphery character, only because his fate was already sealed. To say my heart broke a little more in those moments would definitely classify as an understatement.
