It’s just not my vibe and never has been.

In this review, I will share my thoughts on the product quality, a beautiful eye makeup look I created using all the colours, and whether I recommend buying this palette. I really, really love burgundy eyeshadows and red eyeshadows – ever since I learned I had hazelnut eyes a few years ago, I have tended to reach out for red eye makeup.When I used to do makeup on photoshoots, I’d often take them with me, especially the Hot Jalapeno palette, because it has green eyeshadows inside that I’ve never seen anywhere else (even in Juvia’s Place palettes). Yet, the ELF Bite Size palette in Cream and Sugar is an interesting one to have in your stash if you find yourself reaching out for neutral eyeshadows often. The brand used to have many kinds of different palettes; the most famous being the ELF rose gold eyeshadow palette, and their matte eyeshadow palette for every day. The mattes seem to fade after 4-5 hours but the metallics save the night because they really do stay put the entire day. There is some fading when it comes to the reflection of the metallics, though! Foundation comes in cream, liquid, and powder formulas and offers coverage that ranges from sheer to light to medium to full. It can provide a matte finish, a dewy finish, or an iridescent finish. Whatever coverage or finish you need, there is something for you. The four eyeshadows in the ELF Rose Water palette perform really well, even the dark matte purple eyeshadow. That says a lot about the quality of this small ELF palette because purple eyeshadow is usually hard to find really pigmented. Wearing these for an entire day is easily possible. I wore mine for around ten hours with zero products used to set it and had just started noticing a little creasing. However, remember that I used an eyeshadow primer underneath them. Nice Color Payoff I loved the ELF Bite Size eyeshadow palettes as soon as they were released a few years ago, so today, we’re going to be doing a little review with swatches of the marvels the super affordable Bite Size palettes are.The matte shades weren’t dry or chalky. Shimmer shades didn’t have a ton of fallout. The pigments slide smoothly over your lid. e.l.f. nailed it with this formula! Awesome Wear Time This reminds me of Wet N Wild’s Color Icon Eyeshadow Quad but the Wet N Wild one had a terrible quality, comparatively! Texture I usually really try to scrutinize a product to see if there’s someone it’s not going to work for. For example, would a product not be a good idea for beginners? However, I couldn’t find anything really bad about these bite-size eyeshadow products. There’s a reason they’ve gone viral and are now adorning vanities everywhere! All the pictures are absolutely untouched and you can see skin texture, fine lines, and facial hair. 🙂

The only thing I didn’t care for was that there isn’t a purple available yet! (Purple is my favorite color.) Contour is typically a shade or two darker than your foundation or concealer. Contouring is used to create the effect of shadow and define your facial features. Used some setting spray on brush and dipped into shade 4 to get an intensified berry/brown on the outer corner These pressed pigments are easy to work with. The pans are large enough to fit a brush on the pigment to get color, even though the eyeshadow quads are tiny. They are blendable and buildable, making them great if you want to let your inner artist out. The ELF Bite Size eyeshadow palette in Acai You is my second favorite out of the whole bunch, after the Hot Jalapeno palette. I love desaturated blue eyeshadows, and the Acai You palette offers just that.

The ELF Hot Jalapeno palette is the most magical out of the whole bunch, and I’d be lying if I didn’t say this green gold eyeshadow wasn’t the main reason I love it so much. What is the look you are trying to achieve? If you prefer a more natural everyday eye look, go for neutral palettes with soft browns, taupes and beiges. If you want an evening vibrant look, go with an eye palette with jewel tones and vibrant pigments. While you can totally do a full look with each palette, or mix and match, sometimes having only four shades can be limiting. Not all of the palettes have a neutral shade for the crease, or a white shade to set the eyelid. Depending on how fancy you want to get with your eye look, you may supplement with other palettes. Either way, your creativity is your only limit as you can create endless looks with each palette. That, in terms of green eyeshadow palettes, is a standard I did not want to get away from but I didn’t want to cash out a fifty when the full-size ELF eyeshadow palettes are a tenner at most.When selecting a beginner eyeshadow palette, there are a few things to consider. First, choose an eye palette that offers a range of neutral shades, as these are easier to work with. Look for a palette that includes both matte and shimmer finishes, allowing you to create different eye looks and experiment with textures. It's also helpful to choose a palette with instructions, guiding you on where to place each shade for a basic eye look. Concealer is used to brighten the dark areas of your face including under-eye circles and recessions around the mouth or nose. They also can help cover up blemishes, discoloration, redness, or scars. The texture of the shadows are a hit and miss for me. They aren’t the most pigmented and creamiest shadows I have used but they do get the job done. Some tested my patience when I was trying to blend while the others left me impressed.
