Send the organisation a copy of the letter that DVLA sent you when you sold the vehicle to confirm you’re not the registered keeper anymore. If you do not have the letter from DVLA That bit is totall hogwash. A VRM is not personal data unless and until it is cross referenced with another database such as that maintained by DVLA. You cannot do this so the data protection act does not apply.
