About this deal

Who was this book written for? The author kept inserting jokes about the most obscure pop culture references. There was even a joke about the time “Don’t Stop Believing” was played on the MTV reality show “The Hills” in 2006. At what point in time would that reference ever have been relevant?

I recommend this book for people with in the age of 10-15 years old because and other age really won't under stand the book as much as other people. I loved this book but you have your own opinion. read the book to find out more. Rachel Renee Russell is a lawyer who prefers writing children's books to legal briefs (mainly because books are a lot more fun and pyjamas and bunny slippers aren't allowed in court). She has raised two daughters and lived to tell about it. Rachel lives in northern Virginia with a spoiled pet Yorkie who terrorises her daily by climing on top of her computer and pelting her with stuffed animals while she writes. And, yes, Rachel considers herself a total Dork. Welcome to Nikki Maxwell's aDORKable world in the third book in the mega-selling Dork Diaries series – now with over 50 million copies in print worldwide! This is what appalled me the most: Nikki's little sister got a tiny spot of paint on one article of Nikki's clothing. Nikki freaked out about it, so her mom promised to replace whatever got paint on it. After this promise was made, Nikki secretly gave ALL of her clothing to her little sister to paint. Then, without admitting to her mom that she had given the clothing to her younger sister, she showed her mom that all of her clothes had paint on them and that she now needed a new wardrobe. She forced her mom to follow through on her promise to replace everything. Nikki's mom never finds out that Nikki purposely arranged for this to happen. Nikki never seems to feel any guilt about doing this, even though she says repeatedly throughout the book that her family doesn't have much money. During their LSA duties, the girls wonder what they're gonna do for the talent show. Chloe suggests they dress up like worms, do a breakdance routine, and call themselves the Break-Dancing Bookworms. Not only does Nikki think it's a little out there, but she tells them she's not entering the show. Because of that, Zoey and Chloe decide that they won't enter either. Nikki wants to tell them why she won't enter, but can't. Her friends are crushed. There are long random scenes inserted into the book that literally have nothing to do with the plot. They’re just meant to be side gags, but they’re not funny and they take you out of the story. All of the characters are completely one dimensional. Typical for a kids book, I get it, but come on. Why would the most popular girl in school dedicate her entire life to ruining a random “dork’s” life? Doesn’t she have makeup to try on or something? It's Family Movie Night, and Nikki has no choice but to watch a really boring movie she's seen a million times.

Rachel Renee Russell is the #1 New York Times Best Selling author of the book series, DORK DIARIES, and the upcoming, THE MISADVENTURES OF MAX CRUMBLY to be released on June 7, 2016. To her surprise, she also learns Brandon was called in to lend them a hand as a drummer. Nikki is delighted by the news and slowly begins to get over being upset with him. The most unique/interesting thing about the authors style is that I really like how she came up with all the details in the story about a girl in middle school with another girl always tezing her and trying to make her life misserable. Everyone is crushed, with Nikki taking it the hardest out of everyone- considering the huge risk involved. They attempt to make her feel better, feeing just as sad but not realizing how much she had to lose. That morning, Nikki hears the phone ring and Nikki answers it. Principal Winston is calling to tell her dad about the infestation that had recently appeared at the school and Nikki leaves a message, realizing the embarrassment her dad would bring unto her if he were to come to take care of the problem. So, she decides not to tell him.

Nobody seems to know about the video, much to Nikki's relief. She, Zoey and Chloe plan to perform at the school's talent show on the 30th. The winning act gets to be on the TV show "15 Minutes Of Fame" by producer Trevor Chase. The girls just haven't thought of an act yet. Later, Brandon tells Nikki he can't sit with her at lunch because he's teaching a new photographer-in-training. Also, there appears to be a bug infestation, and Nikki is worried that Principal Winston will call the exterminator, AKA her dad, to take care of that. New school, new MEAN girl, new crush, new diary, so Nikki! Rachel Renee Russell's Dork Diaries 3 is hilarious and of the hook. Tales From a Not So Talented Pop Star is the the book after Tales From a Not So Popular Party Girl. This book is probably my favorite book of the series. But I probably said that about every book in this series! Nikki disguises herself to avoid being detected by Principal Winston, who sends her to the guidance counselor for four hours. Thankfully, her dad did not show up at all.

Holy cow, this book is bad. And no, it’s not just because I am not the target market, it’s an objectively bad book. I’ll try and keep my list of grievances short: While wondering if transferring schools would be all that bad, Nikki heads to the band room to await for the various students who have come by to try-out for her group. She is crushed when nobody shows up, except for an irrate Violet, who tells off Nikki for cancling her tryouts after all the effort she put into practicing. Such words confuse Nikki, who asks what she is talking about since she didn't cancel them. Violette shows Nikki by taking her to one of her tryout posters, and as it turns out, someone wrote CANCLED on every single Poster. Oh these books have yet to disappoint me! I love them! A couple years ago, I started reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series and I loved the way they were set up. Then I discovered the Dork Diaries! I loved them even more than ever! This is probably because these are more directed towards girls and Wimpy Kid is directed towards boys. However, she is excited for the approaching Talent Show, which will be guest judged by Trevor Chase, host of 15 Minutes of Fame, as he used to attend Westchester Country Day.
