About this deal

We updated the Stereo Soundstage score from 7.0 to 6.5. This is a subjective evaluation, and testing the next gen Samsung HW-Q60C gave us a better point of comparison. We also corrected an error in the bar's height in Dimensions - Bar. that is, or may reasonably be considered to be, defamatory, libelous, hateful, racially or religiously biased or offensive, unlawfully threatening or unlawfully harassing to any person or entity; Both of them are good sound bar for TVS shows or podcast thanks to their discrete center speaker. They both have neutral sound profile, allowing them can reproduce clear voices. Additionally, dialogue is also detailed and present in mix thanks to their balanced mids. So, when you are watching TV shows or Podcast, the voices of announcer will be heard clearly. Additionally, they both also have Dialogue Enhancement features that allows you to further improve the clarity of voice produced. On the LG S65Q, you can use Clear Voice mode while on the Samsung HW-Q60B, you can use “Adaptive Sound” feature. Meanwhile, compare between them, the Samsung HW-Q60B is a bit better. Although in general, both have well balanced sound profile, but the HW-Q60B can produce clearer and more accurate voice thanks to its better stereo frequency response. Converted to Test Bench 1.2. Updated the results for audio format support via ARC/eARC, HDMI In, and Optical. Added Video Passthrough to TV results as well.

that violates any law, statute, ordinance or regulation (including, but not limited to, those governing export control, consumer protection, unfair competition, anti-discrimination or false advertising); Compare among them, the LG S65Q may have more unit speaker and higher total sound output, making it can get louder. But about sound quality, the HW-Q60B is a bit better. Additionally, the HW-Q60B also already supports high-quality audio like Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, etc thanks to its HDMI ARC that also already support eARC. Even though with all the limitations, especially on the soundstage, at least. It still can play high-quality audio content. On the other hand, the LG S65Q doesn’t support eARC, so it cannot support high-quality audio content. The Samsung Q60B Soundbar boasts a slim and modern design that complements any home theater setup. Its sleek profile and premium build quality exude elegance and sophistication. The soundbar is crafted with high-quality materials that not only enhance its aesthetic appeal but also ensure durability and longevity. Setting up the Samsung Q60B Soundbar is a breeze. With its user-friendly interface and clear instructions, you can have your audio system up and running in no time. The soundbar also comes with a remote control that provides convenient access to various settings and features. ProsFortunately, the Q60B’s speakers avoid actual distortion even under the heaviest duress, dialogue tends to emerge surprisingly clear and clean despite the limited dynamic range and sound ‘projection’, and there’s also quite a lot of detail to be heard during good movie or TV show mixes, suggesting that while the speakers might not have enough room to breathe, they are at least sensitive and well constructed. This soundbar is a good choice if you don't have space in your living room for satellite speakers. It comes without them, so it offers a slightly smaller footprint overall. Of course, without satellites, its surround sound performance isn't quite as impressive as what you get with the more premium Q990C. Sound effects are more concentrated to the front of your room rather than spreading out all around you for a more clear and real feel. Fortunately, you can always add satellites from the manufacturer separately, which is handy if you move to a bigger space down the line. The impact of its brightness with HDR footage can be felt in both the amount of full-screen brightness it can muster and the intensity it’s able to inject into small bright highlights – even if those highlights are within an already bright overall image. The Samsung HW-Q990C is the best Samsung soundbar we've tested. This premium 11.1.4 soundbar is the next generation of the Samsung HW-Q990B, and its sound quality is even better than its predecessor. Out-of-the-box, you enjoy a clear and clean sound suitable for listening to many different types of audio content, from music to movies to TV shows. The dedicated sub brings the rumble in the bass, and it's more controlled than last year's model, so voices and lead instruments are represented with balance alongside the bass.

The Samsung HW-Q60B and LG S65Q have almost the same sound enhancement features. They both have Dialogue Enhancement, Bass enhancement, and Treble Enhancement, allowing you to customize sound produced by them depending on your own taste. Additionally, both also support Night Mode, making them can automatically adjust their Colome depending on the room noise. Their Subwoofer also have level adjustment separately. That is not only that, they also support Virtual Sound. Meanwhile, a bit advantage of the Samsung HW-Q60B is on their EQ. While the LG S65Q only has EQ presets, the HW-Q60B has Graphic and Preset EQ. This means besides you can select its EQ presets that provided, you can also customize it depending on your taste. All Samsung soundbars are very well-built and have a sleek look. You won't find any mesh fabric on them, and you'll be satisfied with their build quality made out of great solid plastic and metal grilles covering the speakers. When used for watching movies, performance of the Samsung HW-Q60B is also a bit better than the LG S65Q. As we have mentioned above, its more neutral sound profile makes dialogues in movies produced by HW-Q60B is a bit clearer and more accurate than S65Q. Additionally, both support Dolby Digital and DTS audio formats found on a lot of streaming platforms. So, despite that don’t have surround channel, but they can still play 5.1 audio format, though, they have to downmix it to stereo. However, the LG S65Q doesn’t support eARC, so it cannot reproduce high-quality audio like Dolby Atmos, etc. It cannot reproduce height sound, even just for downmixing it to stereo. This sleek and powerful soundbar is designed to enhance your home entertainment experience with immersive sound and advanced features. In this comprehensive review, we will delve into the performance, design, connectivity options, and more, to help you make an informed decision. Let’s dive in! The Samsung HW-Q60B still can play a content with a height sound by downmixing it to stereo. However, since it doesn’t have height driver, its performance is poor, especially if we discussed its soundstage. The HW-Q60B may have two up-firing speaker, but they are not designed to reproduce height sound. And of course, although it can reproduce height sound, you will not get the real sense of the height sound. Nevertheless, ignoring its soundstage, height sound produced by the HW-Q60B is actually good. It may be not able to get very loud since at max volume, it can get around 80db SPL only. But sound produced is well balanced and it also has good total harmonic distortion. On the other hand, the LG S65Q doesn’t support Atmos. This means it cannot reproduce height sound. While the HW-Q60B has a bit better frequency response, the LG S65Q is better in handling distortion on both normal listening volume and max volume. At normal listening volume, both may have good performance of handling harmonic distortion, allowing them can produce pure and clean sound. But at max volume, their total harmonic distortion is rapidly deteriorating, especially for the HW-Q60B. But of course, this certainly is not a big issue since most people rarely set them at max volume. The Samsung Q60B Soundbar offers a range of sound modes to cater to different content and preferences. These modes include:
