About this deal

Sometimes it takes time to realize that it has already happened to you, and so one day you stand in front of a display case with many different fragrances, all of which are special in their own way and full of memories and longings. Memories of a faraway country, in which you have worn a fragrance especially often and with pleasure. The longing for the last summer and long, warm nights in which you just sat outside to look at the stars.

History: I've had a penchant for fragrances for a long time, and I've been very fond of them lately. So far, that I greet all friends in my circle already with outstretched arms (to smell). Only why? There's a lot in the fragrance pyramid that I appreciate. I would like to evaluate this quite objectively without hanging my opinion too high, because lovers have the fragrance yes and certainly right. It begins quite animalistically raw, one thinks of oud in its pure form, without this beautiful processing. For the price hardly real, yet it seems much more real than more expensive fragrances like Boss Bottled Oud EdP. This scent now meets leather. Leather can be very different, which is logical. There is leather from different animals and treated just as differently. Here it appears to be relatively untreated, it was apparently lying in some tanning alley in the scorching heat of the desert state for a long time. Great processed and tanned with it, it doesn't look like that. Anyway, so in the heart of the oud this raw oud and this raw, dried bull skin meet each other. Yes, not a simple scent I do not seriously perceive the top note, most likely saffron. That might even fit in well with its olfactory properties. It's quite possible that vanilla and amber could even soften the scent slightly, I don't know. Oud Mood Elixir remains straightforward in my eyes, little development. The fragrance makes a statement and has to match its wearer. Nothing for the average man (but then nobody ever counts ;)), but for friends of animalistic oud scents who appreciate the slightly oily nuance. At the same time the scent is not heavy and therefore wearable all year round. Oud Mood Gold Perfume / Eau de Parfum by Lattafa Gives you the most exciting and exuberant aroma of unsurpassed quality and class, inducing the feeling of peace, pleasure and power within and around you. Oud Mood Gold is a slightly sweet, strong, and persistent fragrance. The amber and oud notes are lightly pressed with sweet and precious musk, emitting pure Arabic flavours.

Oud is incredibly complex in its raw form, whereas with synthetic oud, you can replicate elements of natural oud you require for use," Schoen explains. The first use of these replicated oud compositions was in YSL M7 in the early 2000s, "but it didn't quite make it into a broader consumer's mind. Oud was a bit of an acquired taste for the western world at that time." But this one is so different. This one is so delicious and tame and cuddly! Soft, warm and spicy.... Simply dreamlike! Oud Mood is THIS special candidate for me and I am completely addicted to Him! Me, of all people, where I generally have a hard time with oud fragrances and these often trigger the association of a dental practice in me and oriental fragrances are often too pungent or too intense for me.

A light freshly washed laundry scent I also take was. But this Oud, either I got to know Oud wrong or what I smell here is a super soft, not burnt resinous Oud. Oud Mood defines lifestyle and offers unforgettable creations through elegant Arabian Oud perfumes for all…Made in U.A.E. Brother-in-law: Hello, brother-in-law, I bought a fragrance but I can't remember the name. Is anything wrong with Oud´´ But then there is this special fragrance that awakens no memories in you, triggers no desires in you and yet the bottle is suddenly half empty. When, how, why ...?! Right after spraying on there is this (for me) typical oud smell and also the rose can be seen for a short time, but it has no thorns and nothing stings in the nose.

Vanilla takes off and takes the helm. Amber resonates and supports: Balsamic-sweet and woody-tart at the same time. We were sitting at the dining table, wow, what you got on there, smells very nice. He just laughed and said with a dirty grin, "This is the Duft´´ For a slightly more local jaunt, the next time you pass by a Sephora or a department store's fragrance section, be sure to take a whiff of those aforementioned oud fragrances and smell for yourself. I have been using this fragrance almost daily for a few months now and have not yet managed to write a comment, because the only thing I thought after spraying it on was: "oh fxxk, that's good"!!!

So, is there already a synthetic oud fragrance? Yes, and not exactly. "Synthetic oud doesn't really exist per se," Voelkl explains. "But what we do to replicate the smell of natural oud in our fragrances, is create substitutes that are compositions using a combination of other natural [ingredients] and some [synthetic] molecules. I like to use some of these alternatives in my formulas as they are generally 'softer' and less animalic-smelling compared to that of natural oud extract." Oud sourcing has become fraught to keep up with demand. "Due to the very low yield of oud through the traditional extraction process, some have begun to provoke infection on the trees to then cut and extract, and this has all led to these trees becoming scarce," Voelkl explains. He also mentions that it takes at least 25 years for an aquilaria tree to produce harvestable oud. Firmenich works with a family business that manages over 600,000 Aquilaria trees to extract Aquilaria malaccensis using age-old traditional methods. Hundreds of these trees are over 80 years old, while others range from 5 to 50 years old. What about synthetic oud? Brother-in-law: No, I don't want you to read anything about it, if you get the prize you'll be junk anyway deklarieren´´

What is oud?

Having tested all the Oud Moods simultaneously, Elixir has nothing in common with the other three, and at no point did I perceive any similarities. The perfume does not excel in projection, which stands at a moderate value. It is pleasant to the people around us and not offensive at all. Instead, the duration is excellent, and I can feel it after many hours. As far as the season is concerned, I am comfortable wearing it on late autumn days and evenings when the first chills of winter are upon us. After the initial dismay, I conclude that Elixir is a beautiful fragrance that takes time to understand and then gives pleasant sensations.

Projection and durability is fine but not above average for my perception. It's not the big theatre you'd expect But I think it's quite okay and as an OudMood wearer you get to know what you're wearing. It takes half an hour for the perfume to settle on the skin, change direction, and release its true soul. In the heart, the creamy notes of sandalwood are revealed, interacting with the oud's animal ones and those of soft suede. The purely animal side of the oud dampens the raw aspect of the leather quite a lot, making it appear gentle, smooth, and velvety. Now the fragrance no longer scares; it is like a tamed wild animal, a tamed horse. The fecal barnyard oud nuance is gone.Allspice and saffron make themselves felt and give the whole thing an aromatic-spicy, slightly peppery twist.
