About this deal
Recreating my owngluten free Key Lime Pie is well overdue and I can't believe it's taken my this long, but it's finally here.
If this recipe needs to be gluten-free then buy gluten-free oats, however a side note, oats ARE gluten-free It’s just that companies can’t state gluten-free because of the manufacturing processes.Easy to make and deliciously more-ish, you'll find even the gluten-eaters will love this and will be asking for more. The filling is made by mixing together egg yolks, condensed milk, and the juice and zest of four limes. Key Lime Pie was one my favourite recipes as a kid and I have fond memories of my Mum making me a gluten free version. You can read my original post below, but I wanted to update this with a little review so you know what gluten free Hobnobs are like, and where you can get your hands on them! Crunchy, sweet oaty goodness – these homemade chocolate hobnobstastes so much better than the ones you buy in the shops!
Certainly! You can double or even triple the recipe if you want to make a larger batch of hob nobs. Make sure you have enough baking trays and space in your oven to accommodate the additional dough. It may also require a slightly longer baking time, so keep an eye on them as they cook. You make this by simple whipping the double cream and icing sugar together until it forms soft peaks. I bought the chocolate variety, which have a milk-chocolate dip on the bottom. They look a bit less 'nobbly' than I remember normal ones being - but then I haven't had one in about 15 years!
