Morning, Midday or Evening Prayer, and the Complines (‘end of the day’ prayers) can be accessed from the Pray the Daily Office links at the top of this page or in paper form using the Celtic Daily Prayer Book 1: The Journey Begins and Celtic Daily Prayer Book 2: Farther Up and Farther In. The format is traditional: Bible passage (helpfully included in full), followed by articulate and warm commentary. I've had this book for about five years and it's still a treasure that keeps yielding its jewels whenever I go to it. I love the rhythm of this liturgy, the way the prayers work deep into your heart and mind (as you use them more and more), going with you throughout your day, and bringing you back again. Weekdays consist of a short reflection on a section of the text, followed by a prayer and some points for contemplation. Poems, psalms, scriptures, meditations, with all that variety and so much spiritual depth, I never tire of it. Carmina Gadelica is an anthology of poems and prayers from the Gaelic oral tradition, the most comprehensive ever collected.
