This one is now to be added to my collection regularly, as it offers me a fresh fragrance, and something different. Bursting with energy and vitality, full of nutrients derived from their eruptions, they are surrounded by exceptionally fertile soil, an environment where nature thrives in all its freedom, power and abundance. You may not think they are suitable to give as a gift, but they are perfect for your personal use (or perhaps for non-discerning family and friends). Keeping nature at its heart, Fusion d’Issey is a mineral fougère fragrance for men inspired by nature’s four elements: water, earth, fire and air. For the first hour after opening I get lot of fresh, slightly sweet fig with rosemary and herbal undertones.

Master Perfumer Nathalie Lorson composed Fusion d’Issey, a fougère for men with solar and mineral notes.My only knock on this one is that, like L'eau Bleue, there is a kind of "hot" muskiness in there early on that I believe may be the geranium shouting a bit with the rosemary. Actually, the bottle itself does not seem to be the only thing that Miyake’s marketing department have been working long hours on : the entire background story with volcanoes, molten rock (the “mineral solar scent” supposedly emulating rocks in the hot sun), water, earth, fire, air, hot and cold are all a very grandiose theme for something that in my eyes is more down to earth. It's a clear appeal to a different take of summery fragrance so your mileage may vary but I couldn't run away from this one fast enough.

Nice coconutty fig blend but only can be smelled for about a little over an hour, on clothing mind you. The essence of cardamom, which contributes to create the spicy freshness in Fusion d'Issey Extrême fragrance, is obtained from an upcycling process (the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of higher quality).I have become a great fan of Issey Miyake after using this unique fusion of fragrance - combining Lemon Essence, Coconut Water, Sandalwood, Mineral Solar Accord, Patchouli Essence. It sure smells like hundreds fresh fragrances for men but this one has something a little different which I cannot explain. This is rather lovely, fresh and sweet, perhaps a little cloying so you don't need to go heavy on the sprays. The opening is briefly reminiscent of sun tan lotion with a hint of coconut, but it unfortunately quickly turns into an ambroxan dominant citrus aromatic scent with some spicy accords and a shower gel aroma. It might smell when u first spray it as sunscreen lotion but just because sunscreens choose coconut as a parfum that doesn t mean that this perfume lacks quality or its synthetic and chemical in smell like sunscreens.
