This marks Larson's second appearance in Phase 4 of the MCU after Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, setting her up for a wild adventure in next year's The Marvels alongside Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan. An interesting part of Danvers’ character is her never-ending chase to prove her father wrong. Her dad passed away before she was able to reveal that she is Captain Marvel, however, so this is a part of her that will always long for validation, despite her immense power. Going as Captain Marvel is great no matter what kind of costume party it is or whether you are going alone, with a friend, or with a big group! According to those behind the scenes, they actually filmed the movie with Captain Marvel wearing the suit shown in the movie – but then decided that with such a time gap between the two timelines, she would have changed things up a bit. The apocalyptic rendition of Captain Marvel's suit may have been short lived – but it was awesome while it lasted. This suit let Carol look a little more rugged and dangerous, and the face paint was a nice touch as well.Even with such a short MCU tenure under her belt so far, Brie Larson's Captain Marvel has built an extensive collection of costumes she's donned since 2019. The red and blue color scheme comes through once again in this new look just as it has in her first three MCU appearances, and even though there are some slight differences, the look evokes the essence of the comics. The original Iron Man armor started out far closer to the MCU’s Mark I than this iconic suit. However, the modernized iteration of the Iron Man suit as seen in most of the character’s major arcs is a lot more similar to the iteration in 2008’s Iron Man. The film itself set the tone for the MCU and thus the costuming had to ensure that the visual style moving forward would be one that balanced realism with the comic book world audiences were familiar with. This is likely the outfit many fans think of when they picture Ms. Marvel... Carol Danvers' Ms. Marvel, at least! This suit was quite possibly worn the longest, and in many ways became her iconic look. Even her fans within the Marvel universe picture her in this outfit. The head mask is removable and comes with white mesh eye panels, so you can keep a keen eye out for any passing villains.
