The story involved a lot of drama like two characters falling in love, Georgia hurting her best friends feelings in quest of identifying herself, Fights, banter , love , friendship , setting up Shakespeare plays ( yes all five of them set up Shakespeare society !) Loveless is an ode to friendship and platonic soulmates; this cosy blanket of a novel understandably won the YA Book Prize 2021’ Irish TimesReading about someone going through the exact same thoughts, worries and confusions as I did was ground breaking to me. I can't thank Alice Oseman enough. I will never forget this book. Quote that broke my heart: "I hadn't realized how BEHIND I was. No boys, no girls, not a single person I had ever met. What did that mean? Radio Silence isn’t a dramatic departure tonally or thematically from Solitaire but it’s just as strong. Oseman’s first book was a breathtakingly accurate portrayal of teenage ennui - The Times called it “The Catcher in the Rye for the digital age” - and Radio Silence ventures into darker territory, featuring characters a little older than Solitaire’s protagonists. It is, predictably, a more mature piece of work; a bold, confident and, above all, important book (but not in the way you’d expect) with Oseman’s wit and insight shining throughout.
