How could she possibly be a positive role-model when she is so ungrateful, when she is so toxic in her relationship with Rhys, when most of the time she lacks any sort of intelligence and acts like a spoiled brat, who repeatedly pouts and stomps her foot, lashing out without any regard for other people's/her friends' feelings? I was a bit discouraged with the fourth book but I guessed that was more of a filler for some needed information.

Although I rate it as a series (excluding ACOSF) 3/5, I can say that it is the first series I consider reading again even if I did not rate it 5/5. Crescent City follows half-human, half-fae Bryce and includes the following books: House of Earth and Blood and House of Sky and Breath. i (HAD) loved his character, i had known he hid his things himself for whatever purpose that he might seen as his priority (read: his family, his court).I’m worried the same is happening with Az and Elain and that they won’t end up together bc people are complaining that they are too cliche.

The book has decorative metallic gold endpapers and a map that has been intricately and beautifully updated from the original.Whatever a reader is looking for -- heart-in-throat action, deadly romance, double crossing, moral complexity, it's all in there -- this series is one heck of a ride. Got to see some of Azriel’s thoughts surrounding himself (self hatred and disgust) and around Elain (tenderness, fondness, desires). This action-packed tetralogy and companion novel with fairytale foundations is perfect for fans of The All Souls Trilogy and From Blood and Ash . At this point I didn't know the next story would be all about her, but knowing that now I think this story really set up ACOSF really well. The paper is smooth and slightly higher quality than in the standard hardback, making the font stand out more clearly and it’s just a lovely volume to read.
