I’m getting this beautifully sweet and fresh soapiness—the watermelon is still there, now joined by what’s probably amber and sandalwood and what seems like citrus providing some airy, tangy highlights. Although I discovered this late but sure am glad I did because it sits right up there with terre, l eau d'issey and egoiste platinum for me as fixtures in my collection. There is this endlessly enjoyable fresh airiness wafting from CH Chic for hours which can only delight anyone close enough to experience.

Anyways this got me compliments from people that don’t give compliments and nothing I have smells like this. A blind bought Chic as I liked the scent profile and had recently added some other Carolina Herrera fragrances to my collection (212 Men / 212 Sexy Men). I've had more than 70 fragrances but it was only for Carolina Herrera Chic that people so frequently asked what was I wearing. Known as the most common lily of the valley ingredients, these 2 were 10 times more important than oakmoss. That said, it's actually a good fragrance, it smells fresh with some hint of fruits in the opening and it would never offend any one, it's very safe and elegant, the performance is below average in my experience, 30 minutes of projection, and 3-4 hours sitting close to the skin and then it's gone.You can wear this to the office, to college, to dates, to pretty much anything; and where there are girls, compliments will surely follow. I find similar to the Argentine PRUNE II Coming back to the previous thought, I add CH for men 1st, and 212, to the true great CH creations. Now it doesn't smell chic, but CHEAP; and after an hour of wearing it, it smells like traces of a good fragrance that you've just put on five or six days ago. I'm sure if you'd spray a few more times everyone would think you're the weird "cologne guy" The melon transitions nicely into this sweet pepper wood smell. This long-wearing parfum leaves a fragranced cloud in its wake since the amount of essences is very high. I guess there are different versions of this perfume or they changed the formulation over the years. I do think it smells very different from what the notes imply, the bottle fits it however, it's a kind of transparency. And I owned two bottles of Intuition by Estee Lauder, another scent that made me feel clean all day, and that I would like to own again.Top notes are Red Freesia, Tuberose and Bulgarian Rose, middle notes are Freesia, Lily-of-the-Valley, Mandarin Blossom and Orange Blossom, base notes are White Musk, Sandalwood and Vanilla. Very cool perfume, opens with a bitter watermelon, i do not believe it is the watermelon fruit, but something very similar, only more closed and less sweet.
