There isn’t a traditional calibration sequence in F1 23. Some racing sims make you calibrate by rotating your steering wheel and pushing on each pedal, but F1 23 skips this step. Entry-level racing wheels such as the Logitech G923 generate around 2.5Nm of torque. This is enough to feel the basic forces that are being felt through your car.

Direct drive technology is the term given to racing wheels where the motor is directly connected to the steering column. Direct drive technology is generally found in higher-end racing wheels and is seen as the pinnacle of sim racing wheel technology.
