I don't really have an opinion yet on which is the case with this perfume, but I do agree that it has a more mature vibe. The smell itself is absolutely gorgeous, the performance is on par, women seem to love it, I get lots of positive attention from the ladies everytime I wear it, and it's different from all of the super sweet, sugary dog shit that is currently flooding the market. Very much reminds me of the OG i've owned back in 1989(i have never owned any other reformulated version since).

The cumin, coriander, rum and vanilla give it more of a dry, boozy, flatter quality, and they offset the powderiness of the violet. Altogether the scent lasted well over 12 hours on my skin, and was reactivated the next day when I took a shower.To my nose, it's more elegant, beautiful, and interesting than either of those, and less synthetic-smelling (to those who are sensitive to certain aromachemicals.

I cant stand the smell, and is a hand wash scrubber for me, i absoultely can't have this on my body.It does smell a little different from the EDT concentration since the petrol smell is toned down (which comes from the violet leaf note I believe) but you will still love it nonetheless. A rich and deep fragrance that feels luxurious, They don't share notes but you could use them for similar situations/moods. I don't have Fahrenheit EDT to compare to, but the notorious "kerosene" note here (violet leaf I assume) is definitely smooth and refined, a bit powdery like iris.

Back when I was starting out my fragrance journey, I always gravitated towards it when I visited the perfume counter. Enough of the early 90’s powerhouse remains in this newer iteration to still make this a nostalgia trip for people who remember and love the original. It’s not tooth-rotteningly sweet or cloying, but instead lends a beautiful supple richness to the fragrance which smells absolutely brilliant.Personally I find the vanilla sickening sweet, and the leather note is the ususal rasperry/leather one, widely used nowadays. it’s a mix of an energetic fragrance for the man who wears it when he wants to be more elegant and self-confident.

As well as a note of cumin at the end of the sniff that gives the entire frag a warm cozy sensation. Violet - Leather accord: The leaves of the violet produce a unique and powerful fragrance with green, vegetable and ever so slightly flowery notes.Maybe it’s just a matter of taste and preference, but this is quite the elaborate fragrance whereby reactions will be divisive. For me, it evokes strange imagery like a mysterious succulent alien plant producing wonderful spiced fruits.
