Sergeant Ben Savages character was amazingly well written too, I think it’s a testament to the writing that despite never seeing his family and only having (I believe) two instances of his home being described to us we know it so well.Paul and Jim happen to see something they should not have seen, as the gang of kids hanging around and causing trouble start to look as if they are involved in more than just keying cars.

None of these emotions had a logical trajectory and all were frequently situationally inappropriate. It was good enough that I'll read more, the plot was suitably twisty to keep me guessing to the end, and the whole thing was intriguing enough that I'll stick with them! Despite this I will continue reading this series of which there is 11 in total so far, but given how I feel about DI Freya Bloom unless she has a bit of growth I’m going to dislike her more and more as the series goes on. There are plenty of shows that have fun with being twisty and turny, but end up as a cheap thrill ride, falling apart when they have to bring it all together.This is a brilliant book, the characters are so good and well written that they feel real, and the best thing is that the story flows, not jumping around like so many books do and no suddenly adding lots of different characters which is extremely confusing, it's a really good story and lovely to read as it grips you and flows, I really enjoyed it, so much so that I've already purchased book 2. After picking up each collectible you can safely quit the mission without losing collectibles progress, but it’s safer to wait until the related Achievement / Trophy pops up on-screen. Until the moment they were all dreading happens and a body is discovered, discarded in an old disused drain.
