I'm not normally a big fan of Irish whiskey, I prefer Scotch single malt, which, from an Irish man is probably sacrilege but this would be as close to a Scotch as you will get.

The north coast of Ireland pulls in huge crowds of tourists every year and I dare say a lot of them visit Bushmills distillery while visiting this part of the world. Bushmills is the world's oldest whiskey distillery, dating back to 1608, renowned for making award winning triple distilled single malt and blended Irish whiskey. It was a clear Sunday in November 2019; my wife and I went to the distillery for a tour while staying along the North coast of Ireland. Noticeably sweet as soon as it hits the palate, you will enjoy the bite of lemon and lime and hints of orange all tantalising the tongue. When I taste the liquid now in their newer bottle label, I am no longer reminded of the very vivid experiences, but more about what could have been if they offered a better tour on their distillery grounds.
