Post First World War I, Laurent-Perrier was very sucessful producing around 50,000 cases of Champagne unfortunatley when war broke out the business was hit hard. Sadly, de Nonancourt passed away in 2010 and Laurent-Perrier is now managed by his two daughters, Alexandra and Stéphanie.

Laurent-Perrier was established in Tours-sur-Marne in 1812 and was the first family-owned independent Champagne House. When de Nonancourt launched Laurent-Perrier Rosé in 1968, he decided to present his creation in a uniquely distinctive bottle to magnify this very special cuvée. The production style is elegant, Chardonnay-driven, pure and fruit-forward and current Cellar Master Michel Fauconnet believes strictly in minimising oxidation. Made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes, this is deliciously fresh and elegant, with a great balance of fruity fl avours and creamy texture.Since 2020 Alexandra's daughter, Lucie Pereyre de Nonancourt has taken on the global role of Brand Ambassador for Grand Siècle. the wine then spends an extra year in the cellar, ageing for a total of four years on the lees before release. Michel Fauconnet joined Laurent-Perrier in 1973 and, since 2004, he has been the house's 3rd Cellar Master. An innovator in Champagne, Laurent-Perrier was the first House to offer the successive breakthrough Cuvées of Grand Siècle, Cuvée Rosé, Ultra Brut and Alexandra Rosé Millesimé . The Grand Siecle concept is a blend of three great vintages, each bringing certain characteristics from different base years.

Grape varietals: a majority of Chardonnay, over 50% Pinot Noir, between 30% and 35% rounded out with Meunier, between 10% and 15% + Reserve wines between 15% and 30%* to ensure perfect consistency in style. He will work with Christine Carré, Vinification Manager of the Laurent-Perrier Group, which she joined in 2000. The latter, widow and mother of four children, acquired the Domaine Laurent-Perrier and ran the business while two of her sons, Maurice and Bernard, joined the French Resistance. He found his inspiration in the rather stubby bottles manufactured in the time of King Henri IV, adding the monogrammed ‘LP’ shield. In 2017, Laurent-Perrier took a huge risk and created a new recipe for their popular non-vintage Champagne.

Founded in 1812, the Laurent-Perrier Champagne house was inherited and revived by Bernard de Nonancourt who had fought with French resistance in World War 2 as a leader of a maquis cell. Laurent Perrier Cuvée Rosé Brut NV is one of the most widely-recognised and popular Rosé Champagnes.
