The E6 comes with programmes for rinsing and cleaning. It rinses whenever you switch it on, which keeps it clean, but means there is a 30-40 second delay before it’s ready to brew. The milk spout is interchangeable which is awesome for cleaning, you can simple unscrew it and pop it in the dishwasher. Final Verdict Buyers of the E6 don’t get away Scott free though, you will need to remove the water tank, the coffee grounds bin and soak them from time to time. Plus you should probably give the whole thing a wipe down after each use.

They’ve got excellent technology that lets you craft just about any beverage your heart desires. Despite the high price tag, the quality you get makes it well worth the cost. The dimensions aren’t really where the machine stands out in terms of design, however. What really makes the Jura E6 shine is its high-definition color touch screen. The way it works is by pumping hot water intermittently and at regular intervals into the ground coffee. Where the Jura E6 really stands out, however, is with its Pulse Extraction Process, P.E.P.. This is a cyclical process that ensures that the ideal extraction time is applied for each type of coffee.

A downside is that there isn’t an option to use ground coffee. Freshly ground beans always provide the best flavour, but it can be useful to have a ground coffee bypass for making decaf. All coffee makers require some degree of manual cleaning, its simply a case of how much is automated and how much you need to do. On top of that, Jura offers a filter (AquaClean Technology) with the E6. This system preserves the flavors and prevents any damage to the water circuits. Most importantly, the cappuccino taste and texture is excellent. The E6 consistently produces luxurious and lightly frothed milk, so each drink looks fantastic. When you first turn on the machine, you’ll be greeted by your favorite drinks. You program these yourself by saving your favorite coffee settings to make sure you have exactly what you want when you want it.

The machine has a large, color TFT screen with amazing resolution that offers a clear menu and simple navigation. As with all Jura, the E6 coffee machine does automate more of this than most, meaning you get more time to enjoy the coffee and have to spend less time fiddling about. The Jura E6 is quite a futuristic looking design, and may not be everyone’s cup tea looks wise. It sort of looks like to me a mid range hotel chains buffet breakfast machine. I can just imagine a queue of mid level travelling execs in my kitchen every morning waiting to use the coffee machine.
