About this deal

Giant, grotesque parodies of the human form, these sexless monsters consumed all but a few thousand human beings, who took refuge behind gigantic walls made to keep the monsters out. Now, all he has left is his sister, transformed into the very monster that perished in their only family- a demon. Set in Taisho-era Japan, where deadly demons lurk in the woods, Tanjiro Kamado is the sole human survivor of a brutal massacre. Join Tnajiro as he beings his work hunting down and slaying demons alongside his sister, Nezuko, as they work their way up the ranks of the Hashira and try to find a cure to turn his sister back into a human again, all whilst evading the capture of Muzan and his twelve terrifying demons.

Tanjiro strives to become a Hashira, more commonly referred to as the Demon Slayer Corps, to begin his perilous quest to avenge his family and help turn his sister back into a human again. Tanjiro vows from that day to become part of the Hashira, a group of the highest-ranking combatants in the Demon Slayer Corps. The surprise appearance of another boy named Giyu, who seems to know what's going on, might provide some answers…but only if Tanjiro can stop Giyu from killing his sister first! In the same year, Gotouge also won the award for best screenplay/original story at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival.

But when his family is slaughtered, and his sister is transformed into a demon, he gets a first-hand reality check.

They are the organisation’s most elite and powerful warriors, serving a pivotal role in their war against Muzan Kibutsuji and the Twelve Kizuki. With the movie and the first season now out, reading the manga is the way to go for fans who wanted to know and binge about this world and Tanjirou's journey, yet I may say that the anime is way better. Koyoharu Gotouge is the pen name of the author best known for the manga series, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

o :o :o That was cleared up in the manga and really appreciated that because I just sort of thought it "appeared" because "it just does" when Tanjiro uses concentration breathing. Tanjiro, along with his sister Nezuko, is the only survivor of the brutal attack, with his sister being transformed into a demon. Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages.Because sure there are times when I'll mark the manga on my tbr, but that doesn't indicate the likelihood of me ever getting to reading it (I've got over 1.

In 2020, Gotouge received the 2nd Kodansha's Noma Publishing Culture Award, which honours those who have contributed to "reinventing publishing". Ultimately, we get an adorable baby Nezuko and outside of Sabito, this was well worth reading for that alone. Demon Slayer is an anime that has been recommended to me countless times, but I’m such a sucker for pages that I knew I had to read the manga first before I could get into the anime series. Gotouge received the award due to the franchise's sales, which boosted the entire publishing industry from 2019 to 2020.Female characters are not objectified, though they exist only as supporting characters in this volume. The surprise appearance of another boy named Giyu, who seems to know what’s going on, might provide some answers—but only if Tanjiro can stop Giyu from killing his sister first! If you liked those, don’t forget to check out the Attack on Titan: Colossal Edition Books 1-3 Collection Set by Hajime Isayama. There's many ways to enjoy this story in both anime and manga forms that it is understandable why it's very popular. In its entirety, the story is beautiful and I encourage everybody to give it an honest chance - if not to the manga, then at the very least to the anime.
