The central channel and the mesh covered ridged foam was moderately successful in venting the back, but there was some build-up of perspiration. The back did allow some build-up of moisture but the harness and hip belt ventilation worked better. The whole of the upper section, along with the attached harness straps, slides up or down the frame to allow the correct back length to be obtained. The back is Jack Wolfskin’s ACS Tight, consisting of a flexible back plate that incorporates polyethylene cross members, and has two broad foam padded elements with a channel running between them.Engineered for contemporary use, the Edge Backpack is equipped with a padded laptop sleeve, map pocket and large main compartment, for modern day use. As for its mass, when empty, it doesn't even weigh 1 kg, making it reasonably light by market standards. This features thick, comfortable sections of foam covered with mesh; this prevents items jabbing you in the back but also creates air gaps between the foam, allowing warm air to escape and cool air to circulate.

The lid has a medium-sized, zipped pocket, within which is a plastic key loop on a short webbing strap. The Edge 26 is a decent idea in the city though in fact it is completely capable of adapting to multiple situations.
