I have to start off by saying 'Royally Not Ready' was one of my top reads of last year so when I found out there was going to be a sequel I was BEYOND excited. This book does have sexually explicit scenes with some BDSM. Trigger WarningsBut seriously, this book was SO GOOD. It was indeed a perfect combo of the princess diaries, my fair lady, and fifty shades, whew. I didn’t want it to end. Someone help me find my 🐱, I think Keller stole it. 🤣

There's not much more they can take and now a threat to her and Keller's safety has arised, making him more stressed to keep her safe and trying to catch whomever has threatened them before the big day. Will they catch them in time, and will there be a royal wedding? This book delivered on everything I love about Meghan Quinn. I laughed out loud, I cried more than once, and I am going to have the worst book hangover in literal history. Not to mention I think this might be one of the spiciest books Meghan Quinn has written her. I can’t put into words how much I love this book. Ever since we were first introduced to Lilly and Keller in Royally Not Ready, I have be addicted to their romance. Keller works for the royal family but he's more like family than your average employee. It's his task to take Lilly and train her in all the things she needs to know. This is not an easy feat. Keller is a grumpy guy at first, but Lilly softens him up with time.

Royally Not Ready turned into a friends to lovers romance and I enjoyed watching Lilly and Keller both grow and change into their new roles. It was entertaining and fun, emotional at times and all around a nice read. We see more of the side characters that we had met in book one and were introduced to some new ones. I enjoyed watching the new bonds unfold between them and Lilly. I especially enjoyed seeing more of Runa (Lilly's right-hand lady) she stepped up and did more than is asked of her when Lilly needed it most, and that was my favorite bond to witness. You. You will always and forever come first. Over this country, over this responsibility that rests on my shoulders. You, Keller. You matter more to me than anything.”

Royally Not Ready is a Princess Diaries type romance between a girl who would be princess and the Royal secretary charged with preparing her to take the crown. Narrated by Emma Wilder and John Hartley in duet, this story felt fully immersive with both narrators performing a variety of male and female characters. My biggest issue with the narration was that Emma Wilder only voiced female characters and I love listening to her man voice so much! But John Hartley's narration of Keller was deep and sensual and made up for it. There is no way to explain, This burning, merciless feeling, Biting through my bones. It eclipses my thoughts, It burrows into my veins, A cataclysmic force so strong, I can’t breathe. I need you. I broke us. It’s broken”
