About this deal

The Retaliator, without its accessories, is included in the Rapid Strike Mission Kit, along with two eighteen dart clips and thirty-six darts. The European release of the Rapid Strike Mission Kit features an "economy" Retaliator with considerably fewer paint operations than all other releases. This design came out in 2012. That might not seem that long ago to older players that may have used it as a 10-year-old 8 years ago. But, there will be lots of 7-year-old players that weren’t born when it was first tearing up battles. To be honest, this blaster is more likely to appeal to the older generation of Nerf fans than younger players. The design is a classic and this has its perks for collectors and big kids that either grew up with Nerf or those that want a diverse range. But, there isn’t the same fun design as the bolder sub-themes, nor the current Elite color scheme that today’s kids may prefer.

Out of the box we were getting pretty good muzzle velocities and ranges, but no more than you would expect of an Elite series blaster. Accuracy In this guide, I want to take a closer look at some of the different features of this Nerf N-Strike Elite Retaliator blaster. I do so with a focus on the modifications and alterations that are possible. Though the gun is sturdy, shoot long distances and is quite accurate the gun is not worth for the money and here is my why. I haven't had any jams after a few weeks of moderate use. Its a nerf gun so at some point you WILL have a jam, but clearing it is pretty easy via the access door, you can reach in and pull out a jammed dart. The Retaliator was succeeded by the 2016 N-Strike ModulusRecon MKII and 2018 N-Strike Elite Deltatrooper.

Great addition to my son's Nerf Gun collection! Since he's 12 years old there are very few things other than riding bike and video games that entertain older kids. I have mostly given up on "toys" even when they're supposed to be for "older kids and pre-teens". But my son asks for whatever the coolest, new model of Nerf Gun is each Christmas. They are a neighborhood favorite and this one is no different. My son really likes that it's easier to use and reload fast (compared to other models he already has) and it accepts the cheaper, basic darts (so he knows I am more willing to replace countless lost darts because replacement refills are cheap and easy to find). The neighborhood kids all ask my son to bring his Nerf Guns out and this one is the most sought after. Size is good, shoots well, doesn't jam, and is durable for older kids running around outside and banging it around. It gets left in the rain and dropped on sidewalks frequently and I've had no problems. There are a lot of modifications kids can do on this gun, as well and according to my son they are "very cool and easy". The ammunition provided (elite darts), its rate of fire, accuracy, tactical rail, and reloading system This range of configurations also means that users can adapt to the weight of the gun. With everything set up and fully loaded, you have a weapon that is quite long and full of elite darts. This could add up to something that is a little too much for smaller players to handle. Once they get the butt of the blaster to their shoulder, they may struggle to aim and get a good trajectory on the flight of the dart. Removing a part or two lightens the load and creates a gun that is more user-friendly for younger kids.
